Santillana Baleares, in conjunction with Radio Mallorca, has the pleasure of inviting you to the talk "El aprendizaje basado en el pensamiento" ("Learning based on thought") to be given by Dr. Robert Swartz on Saturday, 29 April, at the Palma Auditorium, as part of the "Fórum Saber Fer. Compromís amb l'educació" organised by Santillana Baleares.

Robert Swartz is the director of the Center for Teaching Thinking (CTT), USA. He holds a doctorate in Philosophy, graduated from Harvard University and is an emeritus faculty member at the University of Massachusetts at Boston. He has worked for more than 25 years with educators from schools and universities around the world, developing and giving professional training courses on infusing curriculum content with critical and creative thinking. He has published many books and articles on teaching critical and creative thinking at all educational levels. His most recent work, of which he is the leading author in a team of five, is the book “Thinking-Based Learning”, published in 2007 and reprinted in 2010. For many years, he has been a consultant for the National Assessment of Educational Progress in the United States and has participated in many curriculum and educative innovation projects in various countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Chile, among others. He is currently a member of the organising committee for the International Conference on Thinking (ICOT).
